Among the four olfactory universes sources of our inspiration (Traditional Vanilla, Travel Diary, Childhood Memories, the Orchard), the Prune Jasmine Eau de Parfum naturally imposed itself in the Orchard family.
A velvety opening reveals the plum through its floral and syrupy facets. Very greedy, the plum is almost candied before developing a more sensual trail. In the heart, the plum brightens up with the floral and suave touch of Jasmine. This white flower, symbol of feminine softness, is the perfect ally of the velvety plum. Since Madame de Sévigné introduced it to Versailles, Jasmine has become the perfume of confidence and sensuality. It then became one of the queen flowers and offered itself in exchange for a hug… In Egypt, country of origin of Jasmine, Cleopatra is said to have even perfumed the sails of her ship before leaving to find Marc-Antoine!

The Oud, at first sight, the smell is intoxicating. It makes you think, we come back to it… then it reveals itself Addictive! Elegant and racy. With Rose Oud Eau de Parfum, Rose meets precious Oud with an animal character to better blossom in the voluptuousness of Patchouli.
We want to compose our scented creations with high quality materials from here and elsewhere. We have selected Oud wood, an exceptional oriental material, symbolic essence of the Orient. This still little known material intrigued us. We have therefore decided to work with it, to wear it, to adopt it, to reinterpret it in a collection dedicated to it, around four eau de parfum: Rose Oud, Black Oud, Amber Oud, Blossom Oud and Incense Oud.
The Oud comes from a rare tree found in Southeast Asia (Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand…). To protect itself from a parasitic fungus, the tree produces a fragrant resin with rich and multiple facets. This resin is the OUD. For millennia, Oud has been known for its purifying properties. It is considered a divine manifestation, capable of purifying body and mind. It has been, over the ages, adopted by almost all religions: embalming in Egypt, the tree of the Garden of Eden, the Incense offered to the child Jesus, the favorite smell of the Prophet Muhammad… Its smell fascinates with its leathery, woody, spicy, animal notes… a bewitching and refined blend.

With this eau de parfum we wanted to sublimate the Rose de Grasse, modernize the expression of joy and grace through accords of aquatic notes, a sparkling Rose and a round and warm base of amber. The rose has a floral fragrance, rich and heavy, at the same time spicy, woody and honeyed, a fragrance truly authentic to the flower.

The Damascus rose, originally from the East, was brought back to the West by the knight Robert de Brie on his return from a crusade around 1254 in Provins. Its delicate scent is reminiscent of roses from our grandmothers’ gardens. It is considered one of the oldest varieties of roses.
